The Défilé de la St-Patrick de Québec is proud to announce the 2012 edition of our parade to be held on Saturday, March 24, at 1:30 p.m. Music, colour, dance, street artists, horses, many surprises, and everything Irish in a lively and colourful family atmosphere promise to delight young and old at this third edition of our event.
We are also pleased to present our Grand Marshall of 2012, guitarist and blues singer Bob Walsh:
Star of the Québec blues scene for more than 30 years, Bob has entertained us with his memorable and soulful voice, guitar renditions, and original compositions. His roots are Irish, and he hails from the English-speaking community of Québec, having studied at St. Patrick’s High School, the departure point of our parade.

Good news

I look forward to seeing Bob Walsh, whom I went to scool with, lead this year’s parade.
After highschool, I met up with Bob in Montréal (1972) when he was starting out on his signing carreer. I’ve seen some of his shows in Québec and can’t wait to see what surprises he has in store for us as Grand Marshall!!
Dommage que la course en patins a priorité sur un anniversaire officiellement au calendrier… Avantage; je peux célébrer mes origines 2 fois en 2 semaines sans me “justifier”.
Congratulations, Bob….. an honor well deserved!
